Day Use:

Who can climb at Rock Solid Climbing + Fitness?

Anyone! Climbing is fun for the whole family! We have climbing for all ages and skill levels. Some very young children may not want to climb right away but we will have a toddler wall for children 0-3 years old where they can try it out. They're free so there's nothing lost if they don't climb right away.

What's the best way to get started?

How to get started varies with the person. Some want to come in and climb and learn and figure it out on their own, and that's great! That's how I learned and I would personally recommend taking one of our Intro to Bouldering classes or take a private lesson with one of our excellent coaches. This will get you started safely, with proper technique. You will improve as quickly as possible and there will probably be less frustration.

How much does it cost the first time?

The first time you come in, unless you buy a membership, the day pass rates are:

  • Child 0-3    -   Free

  • Child 4-12  -   $12

  • Discount    -   $15  (child 13+, military, first responder, student, teacher, 65+)

  • Adult          -   $17

These rates do not include rental gear. Rental gear for the day is $7 per person for everything.

Do you charge an orientation fee?

Never!

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothing that does not constrict your movement. Don't worry about the shoes, if you don't have climbing shoes, we will rent you some. If you have climbing gear,

bring it.

What days do military, first responders, students, teachers, children and 65+ get a discount on day passes?

Every day.

How much is a child's day pass?

Children 3 and under are free. Children 4-12 are $12 and children 13-17 are $15. The day pass does not include rental gear, which is $7 for everything.

Can I drop my child off to climb unattended?

Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult at all times. We encourage parents to stay and watch, or climb with their kids but older children can climb without adult supervision.

Does the day pass include rental gear?

No, it does not. Rental gear is $7 for everything, or $5 if you only need shoes, $3 if you only need a harness and $2 if you only need chalk.

How are you dealing with the pandemic?

We constantly review the latest peer reviewed literature on the spread of the virus and make evidence based decisions on how to keep our climbing family safe.

Currently we:

  • Limit the gym to 25% capacity, or 75 people

  • Check everyone's temperature when they arrive

  • Have a covid questionnaire to identify potential risks.

  • Require staff and/or guests to wear masks at all times while in the building

  • Have added hand sanitizer stations throughout the facility

  • Have cavicide wipes and other forms of disinfectant available for guest use in multiple locations within the facility

  • Sanitize common use areas at an increased frequency

The precautions will change based on the latest research and best practices of the CDC. We are dedicated to providing the safest possible environment for our customers.
